Antalya, Turkey · Realism
Realism tattooing is the most technically demanding style — it requires deep understanding of light, shadow, texture, and how ink behaves in skin over time. A great realistic tattoo looks like a photograph that belongs on skin. A poor one fades into an unreadable blur within years.
Emy works in both black & grey realism and full color realism. Her subjects include portraits (people and animals), nature compositions, and art-inspired pieces. Every realistic tattoo is planned with the client's specific skin tone and the long-term result in mind.
Uses only black ink diluted to different concentrations to create a full tonal range. Exceptionally versatile — works on all skin tones and ages very gracefully. The standard choice for portrait work.
Best for: Portraits, animals, architectural subjects, anything where texture and depth matter more than hue.
Full photographic color — built up in layers to achieve the saturation and transitions of a real image. More complex to execute and heal correctly. Requires good reference photos and clear planning.
Best for: Nature scenes, flowers, animals with distinctive coloring, fine art reproductions.
Realistic work needs enough space to render detail properly. For a portrait, Emy recommends a minimum of 10×10 cm — smaller than that and fine details like eyes and skin texture tend to blur over time. Larger pieces allow for more faithful reproduction and age better.
A medium realistic piece (palm-sized) typically takes 4–6 hours. Larger pieces — half sleeve, back panel — are split across multiple sessions. Emy provides a time estimate after reviewing the reference and size. Sessions are never rushed at the expense of quality.
High-resolution photos with good natural lighting and clear focus on the subject. For portraits: front-facing shots where eyes and skin tones are clearly visible. The quality of the reference directly affects the quality of the tattoo — the better the photo, the better the result.
Realistic tattoos are priced by complexity, size, and time required. Send your reference photo and desired size via WhatsApp — Emy will give you an honest, detailed quote before any commitment. Realistic work is typically priced per session or per piece depending on scale.
